This Privacy Policy is issued by the Mentorly Ltd, trading as Global Founder Lab (referred to as 'the Company', 'we', 'us', or 'our' in this document).

1. The type of personal information we collect

We currently collect and process the following personal information:

  • Personal identifiers, contacts and characteristics (for example, name, gender, email address, phone number)
  • Age, address and country of residence

This information is required in order to process applications for our online courses and provide services following formation of a contract. 

We will be also Recording our sessions for security and for proof of contract performance as outlined in our Terms of Service
 

2.How we get the personal information and why we have it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

  • To process your application for our services,
  • Provide you our services, for example, our online entrepreneurship courses,
  • To reply to your queries 

We will never sell your personal information. 

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful basis we rely on for processing your personal information is:

  1. Contract – for processing your enquiries and/or your applications for our programmes, and for offering our services to you upon you accepting our offer, 
  2. Legitimate interests – for recording the sessions (for security and proof of contract performance). 
  3. Consent to process personal data when you have given consent for one or more specific purposes, such as joining our mailing list or participating in optional surveys.

We may contact you via email to update you regarding our product or company affairs. For that purpose, we may use third party processors. We will contact you at the email address that you used in your application form or in sending your enquiry to us. 


3. How do we store and manage your personal information

We store your personal information at our company and use it only in order to process your application and provide you our services. 

Our company is hosted on the IONOS platform. Your data may be stored through IONOS’ data storage, databases and the general IONOS applications. IONOS are GDPR compliant and they store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. 

We use Tally.so platform for our application form. Tally is also GDPR compliant.

We do our best to minimise the amount of personal information that need to be collected from you to give you access to our services.

We will keep your personal information for as long as is required and will delete them once we no longer need them.

4. Your data protection rights

Under data protection law and for the lawful bases that we use to process your data, you have rights including:

Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.

Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to object to processing - You have the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.

5. Payment Collection and Processing
We use third-party payment processors, specifically Stripe and Wise Business, to collect and process payments for our services. When you make a purchase, these processors collect personal and financial information directly from you.

  • Information Collected: To complete transactions, our processors may collect your name, email address, billing/shipping address, and payment method details (such as credit/debit card numbers or bank account information). They also collect transaction data, including purchase amounts, dates, and payment status.
  • Security and Verification: For security and fraud prevention, these services may collect technical data such as IP addresses, device identifiers, and browser information. In some instances, such as identity verification, you may be required to provide sensitive information, including government-issued identification or biometric data (e.g., selfies) directly to the processor.
  • Purpose of Processing: Data is processed to facilitate payments, authenticate transactions, detect and prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations like Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations.
  • Data Sharing: Our processors may share your information with their own service providers, financial partners, and regulators as required to perform their services. We do not store or have direct access to your full credit card details; this information is handled securely by the processors.

5. How to complain

If you have any concerns about our use of your personal information, you can make a complaint to us at academic@globalfounderlab.com .
