Online Participant Code of Conduct

Last Updated: 18 February 2026

This Online Participant Code of Conduct is issued by Mentorly Ltd, trading as Global Founder Lab (referred to as 'the Company', 'we', 'us', or 'our' in this document).

Registered Office: 82a James Carter Road, Mildenhall, United Kingdom, IP28 7DE

To ensure a high-quality, professional, and safe learning environment for all participants, we require all students to adhere to the following standards during live sessions.

1. Professionalism and Presence

  • Mandatory Video Participation: To maintain engagement and meet requirements, cameras must remain on at all times. Being visible on camera is a requirement for attendance; if your camera is off, you will be considered "absent," which may affect your eligibility for course completion or certification. Please remain muted when not speaking to minimize background noise.
  • Technical Readiness: It is the participant's responsibility to ensure they have a functional webcam and sufficient internet bandwidth to support video before the course begins. If you experience a sudden technical failure, you must notify the instructor immediately via the chat box.
  • Professional Environment: You must join all live sessions from a suitable, quiet location. To protect your privacy and maintain a professional learning space, beds must not be visible on camera. We recommend a dedicated workspace. If you must join from a bedroom, you must use a blurred or neutral virtual background.
  • Attire: Please dress as you would for a professional in-person seminar.

2. Respectful Engagement

  • Communication: Treat the instructor and your fellow peers with respect. Harassment, discriminatory language, or aggressive behavior will not be tolerated.
  • Interruption: Use the "Raise Hand" feature or the chat box as directed by the instructor to ask questions.
  • Chat Etiquette: Keep the chat focused on the course content. Do not use the chat for spamming or promoting external services.

3. Privacy & Confidentiality

  • The "Virtual Room" Rule: Information shared by peers during live discussions is confidential. Do not discuss or share a fellow student's personal or professional details outside of the session.
  • Recording Prohibition: As per our Terms of Service, you are strictly prohibited from recording, screen-capturing, or photographing any part of the live sessions.
  • AI Assistants: The use of unauthorized AI recording or note-taking bots is strictly prohibited. Any such 'users' detected in the session will be removed immediately by the moderator.

4. Technical Integrity

  • Account Sharing: Your joining link is unique to you. Do not share your access credentials with anyone else.
  • Disruption: Do not intentionally disrupt the technical delivery of the course (e.g., through unmuting inappropriately or screen-sharing without permission).

5. Professional Boundries & Social Media

  • No Private Contact: To maintain professional boundaries, students must not contact the instructor via private channels, including but not limited to personal email, WhatsApp, or Social Media direct messaging. All course-related queries must be directed to academic@globalfounderlab.com.
  • Social Media Following: Students are prohibited from requesting to follow, or "friending," the instructor’s personal social media accounts.
  • Safeguarding (Ages 16-17): For students under the age of 18, these boundaries are strictly enforced as part of our Safeguarding Policy. Any attempt by a minor to contact an instructor privately, or vice versa, will be reported to the Company’s Safeguarding Lead and may result in immediate expulsion from the course. For the 16-17 age group, private messaging between participants outside of the official platform is strictly discouraged to ensure a safe environment for all minors.

6. Reporting a Concern

Your safety and comfort are our priority. If you feel uncomfortable, witness a breach of this code, or have a concern during a live session, please use the in-platform chat feature to message the Host/Moderator directly. Alternatively, you may email academic@globalfounderlab.com immediately following the session. All reports are handled with discretion and will be reviewed by our Management or Safeguarding Lead.

Enforcement

Adherence to this Code of Conduct is a condition of enrolment. Failure to comply with these standards may result in the following actions:

  • Immediate Action: For minor disruptions, you may be warned, muted, or temporarily removed from the current live session.
  • Permanent Removal: Severe or repeated breaches will lead to permanent removal from the course and all associated platforms without a refund.
  • Company Discretion: As outlined in our Terms of Service, the Company reserves the sole right to determine the severity of a breach and take appropriate action to protect the safety and integrity of the learning environment.
  • Reporting: Any serious breach of "Section 5: Professional Boundaries" will be documented and reported to the Company’s Safeguarding Lead (for participants aged 16-17) or Management (for adults). Where necessary, such breaches may be reported to relevant external authorities or parents/guardians (for minors).
